Call the Midwives

This long running TV drama has just started it's 7th series which is set in the very harsh winter of 1962-3.
Surprisingly QSMV Dominion Monarch is still sitting in KGV Dry Dock during the opening credits.
In reality, DM was being scrapped in Japan at this time!
Someone should tell the BBC?

They are confusing the winter of 1946-1947 with 1962-1963.
"Find some snow footage, that'll do, no one will notice it's the wrong year."

Well, they were wrong!
