Ex radio officer 1956-1961Marconi and Brocklebanks. Then engineer TV studios. Author of the historical novels 'Tom Fleck' and Black Caravel' plus the seagoing memoirs 'The Best of Days' and 'You'll See Wonders'.

Art enamelling, fusing glass onto copper with a kiln. Writing fiction and memoir. Trying to grow a decent leek; one that is not met with derision from the galley.
