- Left school at 15. Joined Merchant Navy, N.S.T.S. Gravesend. Worked out of Cardiff pool and P & A Campbell, N.E.R.C. Barry docks. Private sailing vessels for twelve years. Ended up in U.S.A. Via Windjammer barefoot cruises Tortola B.V.I.
Changed tack to Airline pilot, recently retired as Captain with American after 23,000 hrs.
