- I was grown up in Procida Island,Gulf of Naples,Italy;attended the local ancient Nautical College "Admiral Francesco Caracciolo" and obtained my first certification as a deck cadet in 1966,then started sailing on board general cargo ships and bulk carriers and went on for about ten years;after restarting my studies, went to university and got my degree in economics specializing in transport economics and maritime law;went on working ashore as a teacher at nautical colleges,retired two years ago.
