- W.W.11 Baby Boomer, in work at 15yrs, in merchant navy at 16 yrs. Left on the eve of containerisation and duty sharing, (once a Deckie always a Deckie) saw the rapid demise of all that we loved about the British Merchant Navy, Now only Nostalgia left to us..... Had many quite different jobs over the years, did 50yrs. full time and 5 yrs part time, now out to grass. Jobs included, Sheet Metal worker, Sawyer/casemaker, Car Transporter Driver, then 25yrs pro window cleaner, and the final decade full then part time roadside recovery driver/operator.
