- After training at Conway 1960-62, served my time as Deck Apprentice and Junior Officer with Port Line thence to Cunard Cargo Shipping, ACL and after Masters with Esso Marine UK where I remained for 30 years, 22 years of this was in maritime shore positions within Exxon/Esso Chemical/ExxonMobil. Prime mover in development of Marine Inspection Systems for the European Chemical Industry and latterly Petrochemical Vetting systems especially Shipowner Assessment protocols. Retired to France in 2002 where I established Marine Consultantancy through to 2020, specialising in Shipowner and Navigational Assessments.
