- Biography
- I was born in Hull and went to Trinity House Navigation School before starting work on deep sea trawlers. I left the trawlers after a short period and then joined the merchant navy serving with a number of companies including NZSC, AHL, Wilsons, Chapmans, Shell, Haines and some others. I ended my 16-year sea career as skipper on Humber pilot cutters.
