Don't quite get the racing against a catamaran, wouldn't the underkeel asphalt clearance be a disadvantage? (Not that we are unfamiliar with NZ asphalt. Grandpa was down there with the Neuchatel Bituminous Rock company in the early 1900s relieving the worthies of Wellington in exchange for road-metal).
