World Rugby HSBC Sevens Series

Congratulations to Blitzbokke on their series win.
Special congratulations to Scotland for their first ever win against New Zealand and for becoming back to back champions at Twickenham beating England in the final.

Absolutely Tony, a marvellous day's entertainment. England were unfortunate losing key players in the run up to, and during the final - but that's the nature of the game!
My personal highlight was Scotland coming from 21-0 down against New Zealand to win 21-24. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Yes very well done to the Blitzbokke but Scotland did deserve their win especially the Kiwi game. It is hard to maintain such intersity.

Never heard or saw a thing about it on Kiwi radio or TV. Funny that.

I think it will be a great season and the information in your head is the most important thing in the world. Remember it! And to become a more important person you should get something you need to think rationally.
Sometimes I use some stimulators whereweedlegal.com for the brain because it's really hard to think a lot every day. Almost without weekends.

What is interesting is the transformation of the US Eagles 7s team under coach Mike Friday. They are really playing well and winning tournaments and beating the normally accepted 'top' sides. Good luck to them. If this becomes transposed to the 15 a side game with the pool of top college athletes potentially available to switch to rugby if they cannot land an NFL contract then there could be a new World power in the wings. My guess is that RWC 2027 will be in USA.

About 7 or 8 years ago, I was at an adjacent breakfast table in Ft.Lauderdale to 6 or 7 IRU delegates/officials, and their whole conversation was about how to get the USA seriously involved in Rugby Union 'cos that was the only way they reckoned they could significantly increase their revenues.

I think the days of the gentlemanly game have long gone.

I agree -- remember a game where I ( a very fit 17 year old) tackled a member of an "old boys" team on a wet, muddy day and when we got up he slapped me on the back and said "Well tackled, sir!"

Reported here yesterday that RFU so short of cash that they may have to 'kill' the England 7's team!
