Philips arkansas

I am aware that a vessel of this name passed through Denholm's hands at some time. What I am trying to ascertain is which one and when.

I have details for a 1969 completed LPG tanker which had that name until 1971

I also have a 1980 completed crude oil tanker which carried that name until 1991.

Any guidance greatly appreciated. Perhaps both were handled.

Denholm had Transpetrol's Reliance but not same as subject vessel.

I think David Gas had a connection with Dorchester/BSM but 'before my time' there.

I didn't know that, John. Guess finished before I joined (2003 ish) although not all things 'crewing' would have been anything to do with me. I did visit one of the HHI Conbulkers in the late 90s for DSM, can't remember then name or why. Impressed at the good job she still seemed to be.

David , we had three owned Conbulkers ; Cast Muskox , Cast Otter ( with Bob Cotter as permenant master ) and Cast Husky. Eddie Redman headed up the technical team . Then we had on charter ; Cast Polarbear and Cast Caribou . I did all the operations for all 5.

John, I was ashore just in time to do the Electrical approval of all the HHI vessels. They were good. The NKK Alcan ships were better (barring a misunderstanding over what is, and is not a check synchroniser!). I really need just one more 'go' to present the world with a perfect offering. The 3 Maj were just ahead of me although I did some sea trials from the yard to drydock in Pula with Terry Turner. The conbulkers were where I was first allowed to deploy my 'baby ETOs', an idea with no residual flaws from the outset!
