No, Sir William. We are just leaving Virgin Gorda for Sint Maarten. It appears that ES doesn't have the slightest perception as to whether he is punched, screwed, or bored.

Perhaps Tmac would let him out of the shaft tunnel for a look around so he can get his bearings again. (Within the navigational perspective, rather than those found in injuns, thrust blocks, etc.

Billyboy, you're a silly billy. Its the Bermuda Triangle, Bermuda Triangle. The "O" Level boys in the smokeroom call it the Bermuda Polygon and the wits (or wit) the Bermuds Missing Parrot, ha-ha. I'm bursting my bollix laughing. Sweat.

ES (Me) does have slight to medium perception but Boots deodorant-anti perception is a most efficacious product and is to be recommended to our sweatier shipmates.

ES has often been punched, mostly whilst playing Mess-Games. Tmac and Oul Alexander can loose the run of themselves playing British Bulldog, rumbustious at the best of times.

Never been screwed, have you??? I think we should be told.

Bored, bored, the Smokeroom is full of bloody "WhenIwas'es".
When I was on the Troutbank*, City of St Albans*, Texaco Denmark*, Saxonia*, Rajastan*, Etc-Etc*, and on and on. ( * Delete as required).
Sometimes the British Merchant Navy has a lot to answer for but it did give employment to the most diverse of unemployable layabouts most of whom have drifted to GD2. GD1 is still under MNAOA control.

I don't know about thrust blocks but I suppose he does post here a lot so could be just bored. However if you take him down there he'll be shafted which would seem to settle the problem. He'd have to be further aft still to be screwed.

I have seen photos of the beach.
I am sure that the planes would not distract me at all.

I'm sure I sailed on the Etc-Etc. Didn't it have the only Burmeister and Wain galley stove and twin Belling main engines?

I knew her well. No you have it base over apex. B&W down bellow and a Bellend or two in the galley (but never call the cook that. Never).

I'm going to tie myself to the wire fence at the airport perimeter and experience the jet blast, sweat. Will also visit the corrugated tin church on the main street, a lovely oasis of calm and cool in Philipsburg. My experience is that the Cloggie part of the island is nicer than the Froggie, heed my advice shipmates.
As a B&W man myself I will defend its toasted sandwiches against all comers and tins of Heinz Pissgetti heated oh the exhausts are gour-met scran at 22.00 hrs.

Also some great duty free shopping -- where else can you get a 2 litre bottle of Appleton 151 proof for $6 ?? (OK -- sticking with the nostalgia thing, Appleton quit distilling their 151 proof several years ago now - one of the great travesties of history.)

I'll see if I can pick up a few gold trinkets for Red while we are there.

As your shipmates, we can't allow you to do that. We will tie you to the fence, our knotting skills are superior to yours and we don't want our super strong rope to get all oily.

Unguent. Unguent is what I throw. Here's another jar - see if it's a cure for your f'ing hearing.

However it would be good to have Red back. Perhaps if we told her E-S spends a lot of time back on GD1 these days?

A bloody good idea, it would be as good as a tonic and pep Red up no end. Youse are sort of plumbing the depths without her civilising influence.
But if you put a beggar on horseback...….. And if you fill him full of Delta Foxtrot Capt'n Morgan's best...………...

Both the crew and animals of the GD do miss Red's civilising influence.

All, plus the garden, are getting out of hand without her. Some of our inoculations are getting out of date too.

Seriously though, I am sure that we all hope that Red is OK and that she will soon rejoin the GD to continue our trip of a lifetime.

Don't worry about the gardens too much, I keep them ticking over. Where do you think all the veg in your Pimms comes from?

Fray Bentos meat pies wedged between the rocker covers work too, and Cornish tiddy oggies wrapped in foil can be a treat on a cold winter's day, when you're trying to catch some reluctant channel mackerel.

No rocker covers on this B&W, the water rats have ate them. Inlet valves hard to find but they must be here somewhere, Squeek has a hand in this, or a tail, ring tail.

Mr. McC --- please get to the fo'c'stle as we are ready to anchor. Sir William appears to be right on top of it as he is clogging to docking bottom up top with a case of nip bottles ?? Think I should have a little nip myself. Need to clear the mind !!

Right - Cut-outs mustered at the fo'c'stle ready to let go. await the order from the bridge obviously.

These jets landing over us and just missing the masts and aerials make it difficult to hear what we are supposed to do.

Bridge - Focsle: We have no idea what you are saying as the KLM flight is about to land.

Can you please use the whistle/siren to tell us what to do? One for drop anchor, two for going around again etc.?

McC

I don't think we should interfere with the aeroplanes. Let their captains decide if they are to go round or drop anchor (actually I didn't know they had anchors) anyway I doubt they would hear our Tyfon from down here up there
