I remember Flemings as I Left my Motor Right by the Power Station. I can cut flux with the best of 'em. I am not the fluxing cutter, I'm the fluxing cutters mate...……..

Kirchoff's, Thevenin's and Norton's - more than a little rusty but I could probably return to speed if pressed.

How are you on good old Bernoulli?

After a hydraulic lunch I can do Bernoulli justice, both theoretically and in practice.
Its my party piece but can be discomforting for those of a protected upbringing.
Projectile vomiting and the rest will exercise the vena-contracta and that can only be a good thing.

Why is it when you are sick there is always diced carrots in it?.. one of life's little mysteries I suppose.

Good to see my arse was the topic of conversation in the bar tonight, all I can add to the discourse was my gratitude there was no mention of the "golden rivet"

And where, may I ask are the tomato skins? Only the oiks manage only carrots.

Don't tell me, the body of the kirk wanted your alimentary burner tip gavotte?

The vena contracta must be such as the 'fluid' flow outstrips the flame. Otherwise your Bernoullis will be toast.

Although some might be into agriculture - I am not -- not a fig plucker, nor a fig plucker's son!

Not too important if we have any SS aboard as we sail - we can always drop them off in Newcastle.

Not sure we'd make much on carrying hoals to Newcastle. What's the freight rate?

Careful with the abbreviations, could also be superior senoritas or superannuated senoras.

Here we are, putting into Newcastle -- Mr. McCloggie, if you are still around, we would be pleased if you would dress the ship as per this verse from Masefield's poem "Cargoes"

Dirty British coaster with a salt-caked smoke stack,

Butting through the Channel in the mad March days,

With a cargo of Tyne coal,
Road-rails, pig-lead,
Firewood, iron-ware, and cheap tin trays.

After all we should look the part so we fit in?? Probably slip a couple of cases of Newcastle Brown to the pilot to ensure his co-operation.

I must have a skeleton otherwise I would be all poly and no roly at all (possibly versa vice).

Sir William, it is the smokestack that is salty, we know where the responsibility for that lies. The cutouts aren't salty, I heard one of the ladies in the last port describe them as "Quite sweet".

One does NOT have a smokestack one has a FUNNEL

However I shall concede that there may be on occasion the tang of salt can be detected in the air I confess to being called a "salty old sea dog" by the many ladies of the parish

All just a description to evoke nostalgia --- as long as there is a salt encrustment on my Caesar and Margarita glasses, I'll not complain.

Ah the smell of the sea, reminds me of the blind AB passing the fishmongers and calling out "'Evening ladies"

I was hoping that Red would show up, but no luck so far, even though we have been behaving in a very respectful, sober manner since we arrived here.

Respectful and sober... now there are two words you never find in a description of the GD crew. Are you sure you weren't under the affluence of inkahol when you wrote that?..
