A Regicide one of us? Not me, down with them I say! Bugger Limerick's Monuments. Some might say he is a reason why the Hibernians became revolting and required King Billy (not to mention Camperdown, Duncan and the failure Tone) to deliver a trouncing. I suppose the difference between Cantabrian clockwise caldron stirring and that practised around Mare Nostrum might have given rise to some animosity too although the results of their batwool syntheses seem mighty similar to me. You'll be telling me next that the republican bastard only did it for the potatoes.
I went back to school on Sunday (virtually in lieu of the usual 'Old boys' urn-tea and bickie beano) we had both an English lesson (in which I became surprised at how much I had learned since leaving) and a history lesson (at which I wasn't too bad either) I did note however that the death of HLM and self styled supreme founding governor of the State Superstition was presented in a style to satisfy the grottiest of small boys. I knew he had burst but not that the 'extreme post mortem flatulence' may have actually caused an explosion or that the more liquified portion of the remains had not been decently contained. In fact not contained at all and very far from decent. (Wot evri skoolboi kno)

Opening hours on Sundays necessitated us missing school on that day. On 'Good' Friday the boys in blue would march into the poshest of places to ensure there was no after-school activity.

Profuse apologies crew type persons but I will have to forgo the upcoming festivities due to the injun wot is broke and needs my (careful) attention and manipulation with my "magic fingers" or so the young ladies tell me they are. ES please feel free to represent the injuneering department and wave the fleg as vigorously as your wee arms will allow. Marching around the deck is a suitable alternative to Finaghy and Squeek and Eric will be happy to accompany you in full regalia of sash and bowler hat.
I would ask that you take particular care with Squeek as the bowler hat tends to fall over his eyes and I'd hate to see him go arse over tit through the rails. P.S. I calculate that 530 rounds of the deck should equate to the traditional march length, you will note I have calculated the route to Finaghy which is a bit shorter than Edenderry so you see I DO care after all. Anyhoo Finaghy has nicer grass When the injuns are back on line and just as soon as I can get rid of this Metalock edjit I will join you lot for a much needed refreshment.

'School' was metaphorical in this context. I thought of using 'body of the Kirk' but I thought that might confuse.
As far as I know not even those suspected to have 'uranian' leanings wore bras and whilst some of the 5 matrons might have enjoyed us practising ours was over 70, another had a better set of whiskers than any of us could manage and the one that fancied me had varicose body (and a radio which hummed, her excuse for inviting me to her bedsit).

Never use the word lay with a plastico. You may be taken at your word and there is quite enough rock around already to tax Sir W's wheelhouse staff beyond the limit of their bank accounts.
No stay-a-beds this weather, the IMarEST annual Zoomference is on.

My friends from The Fladgate Partnership, Niepoort, Symington Family Estates, Alves de Sousa and Quinta do Noval will be at a small reception in my suite at 16.00. Come along but don't bring your BF as he rather disgraced us all the last time with his slurping and spitting at the rosie. Quite uncalled for.

Jesus Billy, Officers and Crew have abandoned ship, and not for the first time. I'll row over to GD 1 and press gang them back. Give me 25 silver shillings and we will be crewed-up to sail on the evening tide.

No boyfriend of mine would waste good alcohol. It was because your still lit stogie made him think it was on fire. You're lucky, if it had been my 'house' he'd've have pissed it out.
Why are we waiting for this sanity chap? If it wasn't for keeping the gin cool it wouldn't be worth the bunkers to keep the lights on waiting for him. Looking over the anchorage I'd say GD1 looks dead ship, if not abandoned - Not sure it'd be worth going back to her. I know for sure there's nothing left in the bond or the Gripetanks.

Why, in this age, are we still using MontysVideo? When I joined I was led to believe that the GD was equipped with everything from coal burning T3 steam to nuclear.
Surely there is better material available direct on the internet or does MontysVideo cater for special needs not generally available? Just curious in case I am missing out on something as a result of my sheltered upbringing. Too late to catch up now I fear. |

I'm a big admirer of Monty, he's from Norn Irn, and if he wants a video he can have one. Not everyone needs DVD or Blue Thingy.
Once we transit the Suez we have time to drop the Jolly Boat and have a wee Jolly to EL Alemain and may have a minutes silence. A nice gesture. |

Skippy-Mundrabilla is at the coal shovelling end of the spectrum and that is to be welcomed. Down below we have too many technicians and boffins, what I want is a blue chip Stoker that I can have a drop of tea and a chat with while BB and team frig about on the bridge.

Thanks ES.
Here, you hold the shovel while I make the tea. About 15 each side, a couple in the middle while I'm gone should do it but not too much as Tmac counts the lumps - both coal and sugar. We don't want smuts on the deckies dress uniforms or dirty water out of the safety valves either. Last edited by YM-Mundrabilla; 16th July 2020 at 11:42. |

I'll see if the lad can remember his Morse (I only do the techy stuff these days) but the main Tx seems difficult to tune up (and the Pennant to which it's linked is having a semi-permanent period of silence too). I've looked into the gubinings and think there is a lot of its little blue chips missing.
I'll have to try the one with the little bottles that light up but that shovel dangling from the aerial is going to make tuning it a bitch. Still, a good test for the boy. Must learn, not all beer and skittles! Sod it! who has switched my junior for a deck gadget? He's trying to tune the bottle thing by pointing it backwards through the sun-roof and says he won't turn-to proper until a quarter to noon. Says it won't work until, anyway, until then and goes on to tell my the radio room clock is wrong!

Relax YM, Tmax isn't great at the oul counting. One, Two and Many is his limit. And we still wonder about H&W. Will it float? Will it Move? And is it the right colour?
