I had only one fault I could not fix on a Crusader and none on an Atalanta. The one that I could not fix was on my first trip and I had identified it to the astonishment of the techs at Pembroke (a resistor across the anti parasitic choke on the anode top of one output bottle).
I will, therefore, have ample time to find, should there be either, a Davidoff's or Fox's. Failing that I will pick up a box of Filipino cigars as destined for the US market. The scam to overcome the embargo of Cuban products is to first export the leaf to the Philippines, roll the smokes there (I suspect after attending thigh school in Havana) and then export them to the US. Pretty good result too although the only one's I have enjoyed are too large, more Texan Gobstopper than Petit Robusto, so rather wasted on me. As for the port. It does not have that appellation traditionally until it has been barged over the bar of the Douro. It is, then. not necessary for us to also pass over the Mariannas trench in order to obtain it but it's "any port" as they say. I hope Tmac has ventilated the double bottom tank into which he was channeling his flatus, not to mention removing any rags made from his hosiery. The something that such attributes lend to the flavour of the port is certain, very, very certain indeed. I took the EL by way of a check the other day. I thought it was strange that the reading showed green until I realised that it was one of these new fangled computerised devices and was measuring the colour of the atmosphere.

I got us a berth up in Subic, (a stones throw from Ageles and the streets of many bars) we will sail tomorrow morning. We can be berthed there for as long as we like or until the agent comes up with a job for us. And I have ordered a tanker if Red Horse beer and 20 cases of Tanduay Rum. It will be delivered to us there.

Now that Boris and Morrison
 have agreed to a free trade deal there are 400 TEU loaded with Vegemite available for immediate despatch to the UK here in Oz. Can we divert to pick them up?Not sure what we will get (or want) in return. Some Lucas spares, perhaps? I wouldn't mind a Bentley, however!

The Agent has booked a lot of cargo, one million bags of the best Sligo rags, two million barrels of stone, three million sides of old blind horses hides, four million barrels of bones, five million hogs, and six million dogs, seven million barrels of porter and eight million bails of old nanny-goats' tails in the hold of the Golden Dreamer. Even Para Handy could work it out that a Box and a half will bring us down to our marks. Let's not load the Blind Horses Hides as there will be sufficient here after Royal Ascot.

This is beginning to sound like the Antipodeans riding to the support of the rebellious Hibernians. My port tanks used for porta and blanketed by IG (Intestinal Gas), the Marmite cupboard stacked with a southern simulacrum. I fear I will soon have to be concealing a voyage's worth of Patum Peperium and post prandial linctus as if from a rummage squad.
It would not be so bad (Tmac flatus flavour apart) if the porta were Mackeson's instead of a foul bothiebrew made by an Irish Earl. I haven't felt so isolated since two fully Scottish bastards tried to weld my workshop door shut (with me inside).

Watched TV this afternoon to relax before picking up the 4 to 8. Lo and behold the curvaceous Alice Roberts was in Belfast talking to the usual suspects. The programme energised me and I'm going down below and I will squeeze an extra 5 revs from the greasy beast if it kills me.

YM. I think our watch would be ahead in the competition for the most revs logged in a day (against E-S anyway and providing the Chief doesn't catch us out). Is it only antipodeans that know the hand stoked coal burner japes? (I know not only from Kipling but also from a bunch of BHP guys doing their Chief's in '75 at Saudi Shields).
Mind you, E-S would probably be OK as a school janitor with a coke boiler. You, on the other hand, would probably have the little buggers broiled before break. (And that Chinaman won't get his five beers if I find my aerials used for drying my whites, no more anyone else's).
