Ok. We all know that you are good at solving the puzzles. Instead of nearly clearing the board, how about answering one then if no one solves the rest you have done give the answers on the following day/days. I would like to give the others a chance and some encouragement to continue to take part. ''Antilles'' Correct.

It is something of a coin. I often do not try hard to identify the puzzle once completed and do not attempt them as often as some. I do sometimes pick up on an identity and then 'do' that puzzle to see what she looks like.

Many Spring Tides ago I wondered how some colleagues could identify ships before I had reached the main mast and was given short shrift by my good buddy Mr Win. And I think rightly so. No one on board likes a whinger and smart asses are barely tolerated.
Having learned my lesson I now diddle along at my own pace and get as much satisfaction completing the puzzle as those breaking their bollix trying to come first. Keep them coming Mr Win. |

Some of them I could never identify but, if the subject is interesting, I will totter along just for the satisfaction of having finished. Rgds. Dave |

When the boot was on the other foot when I came across 'Sparkies' quiz I would search for hours even days to find the answer. It didn't do my eyesight much good but i enjoyed it. I know searching is more difficult now because of the changes over the years. Even choosing and being able to create a puzzle is more difficult due to copyright, Allamy, Pinterest etc. Plus the demise of the 'Old Ships Picture Galleries' that was a good site for images. Anyway I hope new ship images pop up now and again that I can use.

Those ships in the frame would be;
Tabaristan Tangistan Tunisia Turkistan None sound particularly bitter, maybe I don't have a sweet tooth. I hope my musings annoys some of the purists who inhabit these parts. Its Tang. Age and bile are slowing me down. Last edited by Engine Serang; 28th August 2020 at 21:31. Reason: Temp flash of wisdom. |
