On 22 August 1972 it was sold to Mercury Sea Inc (Mercury Shipping C0.Ltd, Monrovia) and renamed IT IN MS Mercury Sea t in Under the new owner another trip for Nedlloyds New Sealand Pacific Service. On 12 December 1973 departure to Sydney for her last trip to the Taiwanese demolition yard Chin Tai Steel Enterprise Co. Te Koahsiung the ship arrived on 29 December 1973 or on 2 January 1974. Demolition started on 22 February 1974.
