Just to let you know that in real life, I have to undertake a 2000 mile road trip in the next two weeks in order to return a visiting great granddaughter to her home and visit a nephew and an old ship mate in Alberta. I will try and attend when I can, depending on probably spotty wi-fi here and there. Suggest Dart Skipper and Farmer John look after the navigational details for the next little while. If nothing else, Farmer John can lead Dart Skipper astray by showing him the Four Bells secret stash in the chartroom.

Och I wouldn't worry too much sire, the shell plating is wired to a 1,000,000 volt circuit and the handrails, assuming they get that far, are thermo conductive guaranteed to melt flesh and bone to a paste in 0.5 seconds. I grew up in East London, (Ilford, actually....) oooops, wrong one! I did have a Great Aunt who lived in East London, S.A. I think she left me a street map, so we will be OK when we get there.

I've been a bit busy with other projects lately, doing some alterations and refitting in my cabin, and haven't been posting much. I'm on holiday for a few days, and will let everyone have a looksee at the results.

I'm bringing my mug up to the chartroom FJ, only because I know how hard it is to accurately pour a tot when we are crashing through those seas around the Cape. I think our automatic stabilisatoring thingies might even struggle a bit.

We have to get some plans together, I am gently sailing through mirror calm seas with dolphins leaping alongside and flying fish skittering along. What are these stabilisorator things of which you speak? My experience may be fairly low, but I don't see how wheels on the back will help.

I'm sure I heard TMac saying something about installing an anti rolling system before the next leg of our endless voyage. I think it was so that he couldn't be accused of cheating on the billiards table.

the injuneering dept fitted a complete flume tank system years ago when pussy was just a kitten. Please don't tell me you scurvy lot haven't noticed our silk smooth progress whatever the weather.

Incidentally and for the record I NEVER cheat at pocket billiards but have been known to give the balls a slight rub while playing snooker Anyhoo our old table makes the game more of a challenge with our checker plate covering

Since we are making for Richards Bay to check out the surfing, I have asked the lookout to tell us when we are about to hit Madagascar, so we can just hang a Port one and not bang into it. Current rate of travel, about one more day.

Does that seem about right, Dartskipper? To be honest, I got a bit confused about which side of Africa, India is, but I think we are about right now.

Sounds fine to me FJ. When we get the call from the crows nest, turn South to clear, then straighten up a bit and continue West. We'd better dig out the East Africa Pilotage Notes, I think Cap'n Tom was using them to prop up the wobbly leg on the chart table.

Hello, Tmac, can you just slow us down a bit please? We got talking about surfing, then we got onto talking about water-skiing, and some wild things were said, some bets were taken and those of us still awake all went water-skiing, and at 23 knots we couldn't get back, and there was no-one left to slow things down and my arms are really tired, so, a little help would be appreciated. I need to get back onboard, we have to zoom round Madagascar's bottom, so to speak and also I need to refill your Blackbush tank so a help for us would prevent that running dry.
