Just got the latest batch of mulled wine going, and it's fairly powerful....
Band practice the lounge later. Anyone who can still find their instrument is encouraged to have a bash! I think I'll be resting in my quarters. Very comfy, I must say, after the couple of cabins I was squeezed into on the old GD.

We must be paying the shore gang triple overtime as they are at work scraping and banging away. (on the hull, gentlemen, on the hull). Perhaps, Jeffers, with your arranging expertise (musical) you could co-ordinate the hull banging to produce a sound similar to a Caribbean steel band. That would really be something -- and with our ship's band as back-up, we could record it and make a killing selling CDs, etc.

I know most of us by now have drawn a conclusion to our Christmas festivities, dinner, drink, etc., so I wish you all a restful whatever is left of it, and a happy and prosperous New Year.

Thank you Tom. I have found some interesting bottles in No 3 hold if you would care to join me for a post Christmas wind down party. I get them a few years back from a ship wreck I was diving on. Labels are unreadable but last time we checked it was a dark Rum. quite palatable too!

Shiver me timbers! Dark rum matured in Davey Jones Locker --- Oh! What nectar --- I'll be right there.

Ah, Billy, you're aboard... and you have some rum? That'll do nicely. I've a case of Crabbies Ginger beer here, I' m told they mix rather nicely!

Here's some sea food to go with it -- Pickled herring, sour cream, and jellied eels.

Anyone found stuffing any of that mixture down the heads will be forced to clean them out using a tea spoon otherwise they will face the wrath of a mad rat up their trouser leg.

One more thing, a very Happy and Healthy New Year to you all from your friendly injuneering department.

I enjoyed waving to myself as the GD slipped past Nairn but am now ready to reunite my split personality back on board (Oh no you'r not. Oh yes I am etc.).

Thinking of that though, is there a crew pantomime onboard or do the normal events count as one?

Whatever, it seems a bit empty here - is anybody there.... there.....there?

Float out in about two hours Tom. Gaffer just told me. we are to proceed to the berth astern of the ferry where we can moor for two days only. enough time to visit the local establishments.
Time to throw a dart at the world map Tom. Need the agent to come up with a job for us. Cost me a bundle to get the dry dock work done this year.
