At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kirk was
located near latitude 9.0 North, longitude 26.4 West. Kirk is moving
toward the west-northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h). A faster westward
motion across the deep tropical Atlantic Ocean is expected Sunday
through Tuesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast through Sunday night, with little
change in intensity expected on Monday and Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).

located near latitude 9.3 North, longitude 30.2 West. Kirk is
moving toward the west near 21 mph (33 km/h). An even faster
westward motion across the tropical Atlantic is expected through
Tuesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next day or two.
Weakening is likely during the middle to latter part of the week.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).

At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Kirk
was located near latitude 9.4 North, longitude 35.5 West. The
depression is moving toward the west near 25 mph (41 km/h). A
rapid westward motion is anticipated for the next day or two.
A slight decrease in forward motion is expected by mid-week.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with
higher gusts. Little change in the maximum winds is forecast during
the next several days. It is possible that Kirk could degenerate
into a trough of low pressure during the next day or two while it
moves quickly across the tropical central Atlantic.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb (29.74 inches).

At 200 AM AST (0600 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kirk was
located by Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft near latitude
13.3 North, longitude 57.7 West. Kirk is moving toward the
west-northwest near 16 mph (26 km/h), and this general motion is
expected to continue over the next few days. On the forecast track,
the center of Kirk will move across the Lesser Antilles within the
tropical storm warning area by this evening.

Data from the Hurricane Hunter plane indicate that maximum sustained
winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual
weakening is anticipated during the next couple of days, but Kirk is
forecast to move across the Lesser Antilles and into the eastern
Caribbean Sea as a tropical storm.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km)
mainly to the north and east of the center. A ship to the north of
the center recently reported sustained tropical-storm-force winds
and high seas.

The minimum central pressure based on the latest aircraft data is
1002 mb (29.59 inches).

WIND: Tropical storm conditions are expected to first reach the
warning area this afternoon, making outside preparations difficult
or dangerous. Tropical storm conditions are possible within the
watch area by this afternoon.

with isolated maximum totals up to 10 inches across Martinique and
Dominica. These rains may produce life-threatening flash floods and
mudslides. Across eastern Puerto Rico, Kirk is expected to bring 2
to 4 inches with isolated maximum totals of 6 inches by Friday and
Saturday.

Warning area by this evening.

of days. On the forecast track, the center of Kirk will move across
the Lesser Antilles within the Tropical Storm Warning area this
evening.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is expected before Kirk moves through the
Lesser Antilles. Gradual weakening is anticipated during the next
couple of days while the system moves over the eastern Caribbean
Sea. Kirk is forecast to become a tropical depression Friday night,
and degenerate into a trough of low pressure by Sunday.

At 200 AM AST (0600 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kirk was
located over the eastern Caribbean Sea near latitude 13.3 North,
longitude 62.0 West. Kirk is moving toward the west-southwest
near 12 mph (19 km/h), but the cyclone should resume a west to
west-northwestward motion later today with an increase in speed into
the weekend. On the forecast track, Kirk's center, or its remnants,
will move across the eastern and central Caribbean Sea over the next
few days.

Recent data from an Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft
indicate that maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph (85 km/h)
with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is anticipated during the next
couple of days while the system moves over the eastern Caribbean
Sea. Kirk is forecast to become a tropical depression later today
and degenerate into a trough of low pressure by Saturday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles (240 km)
mainly to the east of the center. Barbados has been reporting
tropical storm force winds during the past couple of hours.

The minimum central pressure based on aircraft data is 1005 mb
(29.68 inches).

located near latitude 13.8 North, longitude 63.6 West. Kirk is
moving toward the west-northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this
motion is expected to continue through Sunday. On the forecast
track, the center of Kirk or its remnants will move across the
eastern and central Caribbean Sea over the next day or two.

Reports from an Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft
indicate that maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 45 mph
(75 km/h) with higher gusts. Kirk is forecast to weaken to a
tropical depression tonight, and then degenerate into a trough of
low pressure on Saturday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
mainly to the east of the center.

The latest minimum central pressure estimated from the Hurricane
