Vietnam - RFA
Does anyone know of any RFA tankers that visited Saigon in 1970’s carrying Jet A1 for the US Military?

I was there a few times with Texaco in 1971 and never saw an RFA. Could have been Harold Wilson's influence.

Someone told me RFA Brambleleaf (?) had done the trip a couple of times from Batangas in Philippines

Texaco Bahrain and Texaco Newcastle.
As a first trip cadet I was penniless and the war bonus bought me an FM radio cassette in Orchard Road, a few pints in the Cellar Bar and a partly subsidised night out at the Beach Road Satay Club. |

Debby Grange
Discharged Av Gas in Saigon when a Nav Cadet on Houlder’s Denby Grange in 1967. Loaded in Bahrain and discharged at a berth in the river which was also the base of an American army unit that fired at long range targets all the time we were there. The vessel made a few trips there before and after I was on her.
