Alan,
Saw your post on the FB Bibby page, so thought I'd stop by.

Just in case anyone is not aware

There is a memorial and a statue being erected in Liverpool on the 15th September this year to the crew of the Derbyshire.

It is being held at St. Nicholas Church, Liverpool, commencing at 1100 hrs on the Saturday.

Some of the Bibby Line Facebook group are also having a small get together on the 14th and 15th in conjunction with attending the memorial.

Sad to inform members that Alan crossed the bar recently.It was his funeral today.
An inspiration to me,and no doubt to many others, in sowing the seeds to go to sea and gaining my MRGC. RIP
