Titanic sister tragic fate

I'm pretty sure you heard the of the famous story of the Titanic but some of you might not know Titanic had two sister ships. They were called Olympic and Britannic but I'm only going to tell the story of the Britannic. Her construction began on Nov 30 1911 and she was originally going to be named Gigantic but after Titanic sank she was renamed Britannic because it was a lucky name LOL.Britannic was launched on Feb 26 1914. Sadly she never saw trans-Atlantic service. When World War 1 broke out she was still under construction and was turned into a hospital ship earning the name His Majesty Hospital Ship Britannic. Or HMHS Britannic for short but she didn`t operate for long because on Nov 21 1916 Britannic struct a mine and sank in 55 minutes only 30 people died in her sinking Britannic wreck was found in the Algean Sea in 122 ft of water.

I believe one of the nurses who survived the Britannic sinking was also a survivor of the Titanic sinking.

That was Violet Jessop, and she was also on board Olympic when it was in collision with HMS Hawke.
