Isle of Man TT

I was watching a programme about the TT on the TV tonight and it made me think of my one visit back in 1967. That was in the years of the legends Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini.

At that time they were lapping at an average of just over a ton. It seemed utterly incredible to me at the time (we spent most of that week in the pub contemplating this.)

Now they're lapping at an average of in excess of 130 !!!

I'm just totally gobsmacked !! What speeds are they doing on the fast sections to get an average like that ?

I remember Guy Martin coming off his Honda CBR1000RR in 2010's Senior TT when doing about 150 MPH. He was on his third lap when he crashed but had already averaged over 130 MPH on his first lap.
