Royal Yacht

So it appears that a new vessel is to be built as the “Royal Yacht”.
If reports are correct , it will (rightfully in my personal opinion) named after Prince Philip.
Will it happen? Apparently.
I would like it to be named Mountbatten.
Prince Philips (it seems) greatest regret was that he had to accept his wife’s name of Windsor.
HMS Mountbatten, would be an acknowledgement of his lineage, and also of Lord Louis, who was killed by the IRA.

The Von Battenbergs have done everything possible to disguise their lineage over the years, Mountbatten the name was Spin before Spin was invented.

And Lord Louis wanted everything named after him, it seems.

The last vessel I knew of named Duke of Edinburgh was a small passenger vessel on the Thames that ended up in Plymouth in the ownership of Ken Bridge.

I would suggest this is another load of MEDIA nonsense.

I agree, Hawkeye. Maybe it originated in Westminster?
