Hello from sunny Scotland
Hi Shipmates!
To introduce myself my name is Duncan Griffiths but I post under the name fabwab and I currently reside in a small village (Rothienorman (which is some 30 miles NW of Aberdeen. Joined the MN straight from school in 1975 and served an Engineering apprentaship with BP Shipping sailing on the: British Poplar British Ivy British Explorer British Dragoon British Purpose British Progress British Purpose British Vine British Centaur Border Pele British Wye All of which seems so long ago Left in the late 80’s as the fleet started to fall apart in both number and quality. Spent the rest of my career in the North Sea in both offshore and, finally, onshore positions before recently being made redundant. Whilst new to Shipping History I am, possibly, like most a refugee from the Ship Nostalgia site following the gallery implosion. Not mad keen on the new layout or the aircraft inclusion but we shall see how it progresses. Thanks for reading my drivel, take care and happy viewing Best Regards Fabwab |

Welcome
fabwab,
Welcome to SH - glad you found us ok. Early days yet on this site, so there will undoubtedly be many adjustments made before we reach a fully working state. Please feel free to suggest improvements in the future and our Admin will give them serious consideration.
