Dig deep Bill - ideal private jet for Golden Dreamer - TMac's face would be a picture when you land that on the after deck!

We already have a bid in. It'll come in handy for dusting the masts, if nothing else.

Art Nyalls, an ex US marine corp test pilot, bought one from the UK in bits, got it all back together, and now flies it regularly in the US at airshows, etc. Once he started flying it, the authorities decided to investigate why he was using so much fuel - were staggered to be met by an active Harrier. When he tried to purchase all the manuals (600,000 pages or something) from the UK MOD, they did a full security investigation on him, found he was a high-houred AV8B pilot, and sent him the books! Would hate to be paying the fuel bill.

Reading the advert with care, it doesn't say what MPG it would give. That would be a serious factor in buying it to go down the pub.

Probably more likely to be GPM.

Would be pretty cool though to park one of those in the local pub car park.

Can you get breathalysed for screaming into the sky in one of those after you've had a few .... ?

The cop would have to catch you first - could be a little problem there!
Just checked on Art Nalls again - he now has 2 Harriers airworthy - 1 x single seater and 1 x two-seater. Lucky guy!

I could think of other ways to be lucky than buying 2 Harriers.

One, fine, but two?

The two seater will be making him money with paid for experience flights by customers, judging by the amount of Harrier crashes in N. Yorkshire it is not an aircraft I would like to fly in. You need a very good Pilot to fly a Harrier.
These are what is left of most of the Harriers that went to the States.

John, what I meant was it would be very nice to have enough $$$$ to own two, and pay the fuel bill. I keep buying Lotto tickets, in hope. And no, I wouldn't buy a Harrier if I won!
Cheers
