wreck on the Berwickshire coast
A few weeks back I came across a picture of a cargo ship wrecked on the coast near BERWICK IN 1958.I was surprised to see this as I had been on a rock dodger at the time on that coast and knew nothing about it. Danish I think. Now I can't remember her name. Any clues anyone? Regards to you all.

JG Grant,
Maybe this is your ship. Attached a couple of photos of her. One of her aground. Neville - Hawkey01 Nyon Switzerland Nyon′s stern section under tow in 1959. The cargo ship ran aground at St Abb's Head, Berwickshire, Scotland. Stern section salvaged and new bow section fitted in 1959, returned to service. |

It was something that stuck in my mind. She had on board a cargo of flour in cotton bags.
Some of them were salvaged and the flour was OK. The bags had gotten wet sealed themselves. The thin skin kept the remainder good. |
