Hi All,

Just joined from The Other Place and have to say I wasn't aware of any bovver there but I stick to The Radio Room forum, by and large, and perhaps ex-R/Os are a better class of people?

I'm retired from 40-odd years in the offshore survey business as an electronic tech. Trained as an R/O back in the mid-60s but left college after a year for jobs in the DWS and the Decca Navigator Co.

SWL/Radio amateur since 1963 and amateur ticket since '66. Keen on vintage ham/military radio collecting/operating and enjoyed CW operating until a hand tremor knocked that on the head, now contemplating a keyboard sender!

SN forums were fine - unfortunately there have been many issues with the Gallery and very little IT support provided. This site will be much more stable and is supported by the team originally responsible for SN.

Glad to hear nothing more sinister. Was not aware as I didn't use the gallery much. I will keep an eye on the old ship as well for the time being.Thanks.
