Information and suggestions required on computer

Hi All I'm sorry to braise my problem here. I have been happily using both sites SH and SN. For this last week I can connect with SH with no problem but I get nothingfor SN. I would cotact them at SN directly if I could get the web site up but nothing. Now my knowledge of computers is dangerous to say the least so any help would be appreciated. GULPERS reckons it could be password problems but I don't even get to the web site.

Not sure what it is you're using to try for the SN site, desktop ? laptop ? tablet or phone ? But if you can get to this site ok that sounds like an addressing or browser problem.

If you're using a desktop/laptop with Windows try opening a command prompt window and entering this command: ping www.shipsnostalgia.com

and you should get a reply as shown in the screenshot I've shown. If you do get a reply then your computer is seeing it, but the browser seems to have a problem.

This will only work with a desktop/laptop.

I tried just now, and there was no problem getting to the site or logging in. But even though I have been there recently, I find I now have 2453 posts in 2092 threads unread. And whether these are in Korean or Chinese, they are anyway unreadable to me. To be fair, this is not a new thing for those of us who are early risers or insomniacs, but the strange signs, together with other types of spam, used to be gone as the day went on.
