- Born in a small farming village in Cumberland, UK. Ex Vindy Boy (TS Vindicatrix, Sharpness), 1962. Three ships; "MV Yewhill" coastal freighter, "Duke of Rothesay" British Railways ferry, Heysham to Belfast run, and "TideSpring", Royal Navy Tanker with a Merchant Navy crew.
