Robert J Macy Naval Architect and Marine Engineer

Hi

Who can advise where I may locate information on the career of Robert J Macy in the 1940s 1960s'

He worked on his own behalf out of Moss Point MS and also did a lot of work for Ingalls Shipbuilding. He also wrote a lot of books on ship safety. Anyone got a complete list of his publications.

On top of all that he worked for Ingalls in constructing their one and only diesel locomotive known as the Ingalls 4-S. Built between Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula MS, and Ingalls Iron Works in Decatur AL.

Anyone out their know of relatives etc who may have worked on the loco project.
Thanks

Hi

We live in Ashhurst soon to be in Palmerston North, we are moving. Remember the red railway carriage in Ashhurst? thats us.
I am interested in Mr Macy due to his design and build of Ingalls Shipbuilding one and only diesel loco.

Regards

Charles Harris
